Amman is served by a state-of-the-art airport designed by Foster+Partners and opened in 2013. 40 airlines from around the world fly here and there are direct flights to dozens of North American, Asian, European, and African destinations. The city is connected to the rest of Jordan and the surrounding region by a network of highways and major roads. The best way to travel within the city is by cab. Clearly recognizable by their yellow color, taxis are widely available and affordable. Furthermore there is the Uber services and Easy Taxi application.
